Maggie Newman is a Senior Manager, Community and Studio Operations at Roadrunner Venture Studios. She is a leader with over 20 years of experience transforming and rebuilding systems across corporate, municipal, and nonprofit sectors. She is known for her ability to tackle complex challenges and build strong partnerships. Creating innovative solutions that bridge regulation, funding, and governance, she fosters collaborations that deliver lasting impact.
At City Alive, she spearheaded a coalition of 20+ organizations dedicated to making Albuquerque a friendlier environment for businesses, leveraging the collective impact to drive systemic economic improvements. In her role at Case Catcher, she partnered with New Mexico Tech, one of the nation’s top STEM institutions, to improve efficiency in the criminal justice system. Through training, relationship-building, and operational enhancements, she was instrumental in connecting district attorney offices and law enforcement agencies across the state, with the program successfully adopted by New Mexico’s largest counties.
Since joining Roadrunner Ventures in 2023, Maggie works to foster innovation and collaboration at the intersection of technology and venture capital. She leads community partnerships and cross-sector collaborations across the state. She also organizes the annual Roadrunner Technology Forum, the region’s premier gathering of technologists and investors, and established Road Runner’s headquarters in Albuquerque to strengthen ties between the local community and national labs.
A native of Albuquerque, she holds an MBA from the University of New Mexico and a BS from the University of Texas at Austin.
