Lucas Mejia

Lucas is a Founder-in-Residence at Roadrunner Venture Studios, where he is focused on advancing next-generation geothermal technologies, including super-hot geothermal and enhanced geothermal systems.

Prior to joining Roadrunner, Lucas served as an R&D Geoscientist at Eden Geopower, a startup developing pulsed power technology to create fractures in low-permeability rock. Before that, he worked as a Chemical Engineer at SLB, where he focused on reducing the carbon footprint of drilling fluids.

Lucas holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum and Geosystems Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work, he enjoys long-distance running, playing soccer, and spending time with his family.
