Albuquerque, N.M. (15 October 2025) – Roadrunner Venture Studios, a leading venture studio for deep tech, will host its annual Roadrunner Technology Forum (RTF25) today in Downtown Albuquerque, bringing together leaders from government, venture capital, and deep technology to celebrate New Mexico’s expanding role in breakthrough innovation and company creation. Over 500 attendees from across the country, including 100+ investors and venture capitalists, registered for tickets.

RTF25 will feature conversations on the formation of deep tech, defense innovation, and New Mexico’s evolving technology leadership. Highlights will include:

  • Participation from state and federal officials, including the New Mexico Economic Development Department (EDD) and the New Mexico State Investment Council (SIC).

Live demos by New Mexico-based ventures and Roadrunner companies, including quantum-enabled networking and advanced manufacturing, each showing how applied research becomes deployable technology.

“RTF was built to show that the future of deep tech belongs to the builders who believe world-changing science can thrive anywhere,” said Adam Hammer, Co-Founder and CEO, Roadrunner Venture Studios. “We now stand at the center of a new model—one where national labs, investors, and entrepreneurs are co-creating the next generation of technologies in quantum, energy, advanced manufacturing, and beyond.”

This year’s Forum features a lineup of distinguished speakers and panels exploring how innovation, policy, and capital are converging to shape the next decade of American competitiveness:

  • “Leading Through Inflection Points”
A fireside chat between Ambassador Meg Whitman and Gilman Louie, discussing lessons in leadership from both the private sector and public service.
  • “Aligning Capital and Policy for New Mexico’s Future”
A panel moderated by Ryan Decker, featuring Secretary Rob Black (New Mexico Economic Development Department) and Chris Cassidy (State Investment Council), examining how targeted investments are fueling local venture creation.
  • “Frontier Tech: Where Breakthrough Science Meets Scalable Business”
Moderated by Evan Loomis, featuring Lauren Faber O’Connor (Lowercarbon Capital), Dr. Prineha Narang (DCVC), and Leura Craig (Outlander), highlighting how venture funds are scaling science-based innovation from lab to market.
  • “Defense Innovation in Practice”
A closing conversation with Dr. Mark Esper, former U.S. Secretary of Defense, moderated by Josh Marcuse (Google for Government), on building new bridges between defense, startups, and frontier research.

RTF25 will celebrate a milestone year for Roadrunner and its partners, marked by the launch of a public-private partnership with New Mexico’s state government. Led by Roadrunner, a New Mexico-based quantum coalition is uniting national labs, startups, universities, and venture firms to build a quantum hub in Downtown Albuquerque. The initiative is one of the most ambitious regional tech initiatives in the U.S. and is part of the state’s recent $300M commitment to quantum infrastructure and commercialization.
